When the concept for building luxury apartments in the exclusive Perth suburb of Dalkeith was first developed, the focus was on providing high quality, luxurious, secure apartments to customers wanting to move out of their larger, often high maintenance homes, whilst remaining in the suburb that they loved with their favourite cafes & amenities close by.
Once planning approval was granted, Radiant were approached by the developer to provide underfloor heating to all the bathrooms in the 32 apartment development & optional heating to tiled living areas. Radiant suggested the under-tile electric system sitting between the acoustic underlay & the tiles connected to ‘set & forget’ programmable touch screen thermostat/timers.
Working with the contracted builder Georgiou Construction, the systems were installed on time & on budget over a short time frame & provided a real selling point for the properties, as there were very few apartments at the time that had the luxury of underfloor heating in the bathrooms as a standard inclusion. Since that time, many other architects & developers have realised the potential selling point of having underfloor heating included, especially in bathrooms, with the market for the products growing significantly in the last few years. Radiant also now offer a combination touch screen controller for both underfloor heating & heated towel rails which are fast becoming a standard inclusion in many quality developments.
